Alarm Systems

Alarms Give You Peace of Mind At Home and Away
When a siren is activated, it’s a shock to the body’s system and extremely painful to the ears. The alarm can literally be heard blocks away from your home or office. The first reaction is to flee from the sound. By default, the siren will continue for five minutes and then reset itself. Should an intruder return, the security system will activate it again. You can have peace of mind that an intruder won’t last 5 seconds in your home or business and will never return.
Alarm Systems Tailor-Made for You
Every property is different and so are the needs of the individuals involved. I’ve sold and installed hundreds of home alarm systems and commercial alarm systems throughout Auckland. With 20 years of experience, I can give you the very best advice about what security products might suit your property. In the end, of course, it comes down to your needs and budget. However, depending on the area to be covered I can supply you with a 4-zone, 6-zone, 8-zone, or 16-zone alarm system. Here are just a few of the items involved in planning a home alarm system or commercial alarm system to meet your needs:

Special Infra Red Detectors (pet friendly)
Smoke Detectors
LCD Code Pads
Remote Controls (for alarms and garage doors)
Night Arming (night watch modules)
Panic Switches
Glass Break Detectors
How Do Alarm Systems Work?
The following is only meant to give you a very basic understanding of how an alarm system works. You’ll notice I don’t even mention some of the products above. The systems are so customizable, it would be impossible for me to discuss all of the possibilities for a home or business. Again, this is just meant to give a basic idea. If you’d like to learn more or discuss certain possibilities, I’d be happy to speak with you.
Depending on the size and layout of a home, I install motion detectors in various rooms, hallways and other areas throughout the home. You’ve probably seen these in stores or even in a friend or family member’s home. Motion detectors are usually tucked just under the ceiling in the corner of a room, hallway, etc. You may have noticed that when you walk near it, a small red light turns on. Obviously, the alarm system didn’t “go off” when you walked by because it hadn’t been armed.
In order to arm an alarm system, you punch in a secret pin into an LCD code pad. Code pads are usually found just inside the front door of a home. When you leave your home the alarm is armed by entering your security pin into the code pad. You then have a certain amount of time (which is customizable) to get out of the home.
Now, should a burglar enter the home, the motion detector(s) will trigger the alarm system that someone is inside. The LCD code pad will begin to beep. It is asking for the secret pin (The amount of time allowed to enter the pin is also customizable.) If the correct pin is not entered into the code pad within the give amount of time, the sirens are activated. They will sound for five minutes and then the entire alarm system will reset itself (by default).
How Much Does a Alarm System Cost ?
Alarm systems vary in cost depending on personal requirements and needs. We can work together to tailor-make an alarm system that not only gives you peace of mind, but fits your budget as well. Some factors to consider are:
- Is your home single or two storeyed?
- How many entrances are there?
- Do you have ranchsliders?
- How high are your windows from the ground?
- Is it a sloping section?
- Do you have animals?
- Would you like it monitored?
