Information About Home Security Systems & Security Products

I’ve been selling and installing home security systems throughout Auckland over the past 20 years. I’ve answered quite a lot of question about alarm systems and security products! Q .     How much time do we get to turn alarm off when we come in  and how much time do we have to leave after setting the alarm?

A.    The entry and exit delays can be adjusted to whatever you feel comfortable with. We also have key ring remote controls available, which allows you to arm or disarm the system with the push of a button from inside or outside the home , making the alarm very easy to use.

Q.    Does the alarm come with instructions?

A.     Yes, a full instruction book will be provided when the alarm is installed. However , I will not leave until you know how to operate your alarm and feel confident using it. Therefore, the alarm will have already been set to your requirements.

Q.    Can we have part of the alarm on at night?

A.   Yes, if there are areas you do not want on (eg. upstairs hall off, but downstairs lounge and hall on ) then we can programme your alarm accordingly. You can activate a particular setting like this by merely pushing one button on the code pad or remote.

Q    Will my pet set off the alarm?

A.   We can provide pet friendly detectors that will ignore cats and dogs while detecting unwanted intruders.

Q .  What happens when the mains power goes off ?

A.    The alarm panel has a large back up battery that will run the alarm, and if necessary the sirens. The battery will recharge itself when the power comes back on.

Q.     If the alarm is activated will it go for ages?

A.   No, we usually program alarms to run for approx. 5 mins, after which they reset and rearm themselves. If an intruder was still  inside or if they should enter again , then the alarm would be reactivated.

Q.   How much will the home security system cost?

A .  That depends on how big a system you need, what features you want with the alarm , whether you want the alarm monitored, which is why we offer a free no obligation assessment and quote.
